“With a prime, excellent responsiveness and technical mastery, the interpretation of the clarinet concerto in A major by Mozart was a success (…) Lionel Wartelle, who also led a master class during the week of the festival, interpreted the two fast movements start and end with a brilliant technique. He scrolls through the passages, phrases and lines in a fast speed while retaining a highly contrasting interpretation and paying the various passages a multicolored sound. In addition to this great virtuosity, he has kept a formal view of the assembly and form a broad and logical phrasing. But it is the slow movement with its contemplative mood he managed in the most impressive way. ”

The chief brought his first clarinet International Mahler Orchestra, Lionel Wartelle, thus ensuring perfect communication. The warm sound and patterned with beautiful shades of clarinet and enjoyed Wartelle continuously supported conducted with rigor. “
